We Use Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector

Enjoy game-changing carpet protection against stains and moisture. The McMaid Home Services team recommends that you have us apply Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector after your next scheduled clean. This moisture-wicking treatment prevents soil particles and stain-forming materials from bonding with carpet fibers.

Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector works on every kind of carpet, including nylon, polyester, polypropylene, and nonsynthetics. We even use a specific kind of Teflon® Advanced to treat wool carpets. It stops stains in their tracks by wicking moisture, dust, dirt, and other debris.

How We Apply Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector

After the McMaid Home Services team has cleaned your carpet, we’ll spray this non-toxic, solvent-free, CFC-free carpet protector. Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector wraps around every carpet fiber, effectively creating a shield against dirt, dust, and grime. It sinks into your carpet and stops moisture from re-entering it.

Applying Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector will not affect the sight, smell or touch of your carpet in anyway.  The characteristics of the carpet protector repel dirt and grime without leaving any unwanted coating that could affect the look and feel of the carpet.

See How Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector Blocks Spills

After the carpet is treated, it is easy to see how well Teflon® Advanced works to protect your carpet. In the diagram you will see that on the treated section of carpet, the spill beads up making it easy to wipe up.

The spill on the untreated carpet is absorbed by the carpet fibers making it much more difficult to clean up.

What You Can Expect From Your Treated Carpet

After the treatment dries, you won’t be able to tell that you have Teflon® Advanced in your carpet. It’s completely odorless, and you can’t see it. If you run your fingers through the carpet fibers, you won’t feel it either. Most importantly, this non-toxic carpet treatment is safe for you, your pets, and your children.

This stain-protection treatment works best if you schedule it to be applied right after receiving carpet cleaning for your home. You’ll want to insulate clean carpet fibers and treat your carpet after every cleaning.

Repeated applications of Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector don’t just keep your flooring cleaner either-they increase your carpet’s longevity as well. Your carpet fibers also maintain their color and patterns for a longer period of time.

Teflon® Advanced Provides Protection against Oil and Dry Soils as Well

In the diagram you will see two pieces of carpet. One has been treated with Teflon® Advanced Carpet Protector, and one has not. Both pieces were put through an industry soil test and it is easy to see why you would want Teflon® Advanced protecting your carpets.

The section with Teflon® Advanced is much cleaner than the untreated section. It also makes it easier for you to get dry soil out of your carpet while vacuuming because the soils are not being rubbed into the carpet. They are staying between the fibers of the carpet making it much easier to be picked up by the vacuum.
